Tijuana’s gay scene is mostly in a compact area of the Zona Centro (Town center), in and around Plaza Santa Cecilia padestrianized street & Avenida Revolución on its east side, just a block or two from the Red Light District.
The city’s. nightlife is a major attraction to cross-border visitors from the USA. The area surrounding “La Sexta”, the intersection at Calle Sexta and Avenida Revolucion, is a major hub of bars and dance clubs. Zona Rio, Tijuana’s new Downtown, is home to some of the city’s finest restaurants and bars. Tijuana also has a very active artist community, earning Tijuana the title of one of the most important new cultural meccas.
